Skincare and Haircare Rooted in an Ancient Science

Keshar Care started over 15 years ago. Its founder, Shubhada Puntambekar, became a certified Ayurvedic practitioner in 2007, and had a desire to make safe and effective haircare for her family. She wanted to make something that was rooted in Ayurveda, but also practical and effective to address common hair related concerns like thinning, greying, and dry hair for everyday use.

Drawing on her formal training, she spent the next few years experimenting, refining, and perfecting her formulations in her home kitchen - carefully selecting specific herbs and pairing them with the appropriate carrier oils. Her earliest users were her family, who were initially skeptical of these new formulations. However once they experienced the results, they became believers.

The journey didn’t end with just hair oils. Inspired by her teenage daughter and nieces, Shubhada began experimenting with cosmetic formulations too - modern beauty essentials rooted in Ayurveda and free of the harmful synthetic chemicals found in most cosmetic products today. These new creations quickly became family and friend favorites too.

Keshar Care was never born out of a desire to sell. It was born out of a mother’s desire to provide her family with natural, safe, and effective products.

Today, Shubhada leads product creation at Keshar Care, while her children are working to grow the brand to share these modern formulations with the world.
